FAQ

Question: Why your agency, and not the clinic?

Answer: We have our own oocyte donor and surrogate mothers database, which contains only the best candidates. We offer legal services and provide comprehensive support, coordinate the whole process and are always ready to answer any questions.

Most of clinics do not search for surrogate mothers, or use unreliable databases. Unlike us, IVF does not coordinate the treatment process.

Moreover, clinics are not allowed to provide photos of donors and do not go beyond their brief description. Technically, you cannot choose a donor in the clinic, as the doctor finds candidates independently using his database. This means that you will not know their identity to see what your baby will look like.

We invite you to get full information about donors and surrogate mothers. We are ready to show their photos, answer questions about potential candidates, and arrange a meeting with a surrogate mother. Our agency 100% guarantees that we will use the donor egg of the chosen donor.

We are controlling the entire treatment process and can guarantee that your surrogate mother will not smoke, use drugs or take alcohol during pregnancy.

The infertility treatment sphere in Kazakhstan is under continuous development, and there are many oocyte donors and surrogate mothers offering their services. However, we have thoroughly selected our own base of candidates. We offer good conditions for donors and surrogate mothers, and they are happy to work with us. We believe that the key to successful treatment lies in kind interaction between all process participants, and we strive to meet the requirements of clients, donors and surrogate mothers.

Question: What clinic to choose to get positive results?

Answer: Our job is to help solve your problem and choose a clinic and a doctor according to your needs. We collaborate only with the best clinics and the most experienced doctors in Almaty.

We have explored every medical option of fertility medicine in Kazakhstan, visited all clinics in Almaty, specializing in the infertility treatment, and we know how to minimize your risks. Cooperation with us will allow you to achieve the desired goal without wasting time, money and nerves.

Question: Why Kazakhstan?

Answer: First of all because of the price. The cost of egg donation and surrogate programs in our country is one of the lowest in the world. We have an extensive database of examined healthy candidates. IVF will cost from € 4 950, IVF with egg donation – € 5 950 , surrogacy program from € 29 950.

Kazakhstan is a country with a developed economy and culture. Our partner clinics have modern equipment and offer high standard service.

Alma-Ata is a beautiful and modern city, famous for its unique nature and sightseeing.

Guests of the city should visit the amazing mountain Kok-Tobe and the ice rink “Medeo”, restaurants, famous for excellent cuisine, museums, theaters and shops.

Question: What is in vitro fertilization?

Answer: In vitro fertilization is an assisted reproductive technique consisting in stimulating fertilization in an extra-uterine environment. It is necessary to distinguish IVF from the donor egg pregnancy. In the first case, the egg of the wife and her husband’s sperm are used. The embryo, conceived through extracorporeal fertilization will be genetically identical to the child conceived in natural conditions.
This technique is recommended when the sperm of the husband and the eggs of the wife are healthy and physiologically mature, but they can`t conceive a child for any reason.

Question: How long is the IVF procedure?

Answer: There are several IVF plans. In the longest one, the treatment starts one week before the expected menstruation. The duration of IVF in this case will be 3-4 weeks from the egg retrieval to the embryo transfer into the uterine cavity. Another plan has less duration. The treatment in this case starts 2-3 days after the menstruation onset and lasts 2-3 weeks. You can choose the scheme yourself after consultation with the doctor and his recommendations.

Question: When we can try again if the first attempt of IVF failed?

Answer: We recommend our patients to wait at least two full menstrual cycles. This period is necessary in order to restore hormonal and reproductive systems. A certain additional time is required for taking tests and laboratory analyses.

Question: How effective is IVF? What are my chances of getting pregnant?

Answer: IVF is considered as one of the most effective assisted reproductive techniques. According to Russian Association of Human Reproduction, 36.8% of previously infertile women who underwent IVF procedure became pregnant. However, this is averaged data. Each specific case has its probability which depends on many factors: the age of each partner, diagnosed infertility causes, the number of eggs received, and the spermogram results.

Question: Do I need to take off from work while on treatment?

Answer: We recommend to stay away from work on the day of egg retrieval and on the day of embryo transfer. These are important stages when you need to minimize the burden on the body. Your doctor can also recommend you to take a longer vacation, which depends on age, general condition, infertility causes and other factors. If necessary, after embryo transfer, we can issue a sick list for two working weeks (before the blood test for pregnancy is taken).

Question: How dangerous is the IVF procedure? Are there any complications?

Answer: In vitro fertilization is one of the safest assisted reproductive techniques. It has not so many risks, their probability is low, and they are not dangerous.
The most common complication is a multiple pregnancy. Transferring several embryos increases the chances of conception. Many mothers assume such a risk. About 10% of all IVF procedures result in the birth of twins, less than 1% result in the birth of triplets.
The next most common risk is the ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (mild and moderate), which occurs in 3-5% cases.
Ectopic pregnancy is a more dangerous complication, but it is extremely rare (1-1.5% of cases).
Ovarian puncture (egg retrieval for fertilization) can lead to intra-abdominal bleeding. Its probability is less than 0.1%.

Question: Is IVF possible after removal of the fallopian tubes?

Answer: Yes, the fallopian tubes are not required for IVF, since the embryo is transferred directly into the uterus. Moreover, in vitro fertilization is an optimal assisted reproductive technique for women with fallopian tubes removed.

Question: Who is a surrogate mother?

Answer: Surrogate mother is a woman who agrees to carry, deliver and give the child to the genetic parents. As a rule, she does it for compensation. The services of a surrogate mother are used by couples, which are unable to conceive a baby for medical reasons.
Future parents give their genetic material in a medical clinic. Then the egg, fertilized by a sperm “in vitro”, is implanted in the uterus of a surrogate mother. After delivery, the genetic parents receive legal rights to the child.
In Kazakhstan, only a mentally and physically healthy woman of 20-35 years old who already has her own child can become a surrogate mother.

Question: In which cases is a donor egg required?

Answer: A donor egg is required when a woman wants a child, but her genetic material can not be used for the following reasons:
Lack of own eggs (menopause, ovarian exhaustion syndrome).
Genetic diseases.
Unsuccessful IVF attempts in combination with a weak ovarian response to hormonal stimulation.
Non-viable embryos obtained during IVF.
Repeated death of the fetus in the early or late stages during the attempts to conceive and carry the child to the term independently.

Question: What is the duration of the surrogate motherhood program without taking into account the period of pregnancy? How many times and for how long do we have to come?

Answer: The IVF takes 2-2.5 weeks including the stimulation of superovulation and the embryo transfer stages. The duration of your examination and treatment depends on your situation and will be clear once you visit the doctor.
